About

Peter Karlaganis is a creative film-editor, who has worked on documentaries, factual entertainment shows, fictional films, TV commercials and marketing films.

Editing for him is more than just a visual exercise, it should engage all the senses, create a mood, compel an audience and most of all; tell a story. Through using film he has been able to communicate many ideas, concepts and stories. The final goal is always the same: to create emotional bonds and challenge peoples’ perceptions.

Coming from a background where he has been able to experience and explore many different cultures and environments has allowed him to implement a sense of realism, understanding and balance within his works.
A great dedication to continued learning (Master of Arts in Filmmaking) has helped him to establish great relationships with fellow peers and clients alike, whilst also pushing him to stay current on the latest filmmaking techniques and post-production processes.

In a world full of motion image around us editor Walter Murch captures the essence of editing in a sentence;

“Film editing is now something almost everyone can do at a simple level and enjoy it, but to take it to a higher level requires the same dedication and persistence that any art form does.”
